LETTERS AND THEN TO PRINT!!!
over 5 years ago – Thu, Aug 08, 2019 at 02:35:48 AM

HDE is starting to letter the now 32 PAGE book that grew from the 20 page acorn we planned on! The book looks incredible and Nei Ruffino is finishing her pages as letters begin. She had to move in the past couple weeks which slowed her down but everything is laid out and moving towards the finish line! Once we have a sample of one of her pages finsiehd ill pop it up here for everyone to see! Even the layouts look look awesome!

Thank you all for your continued patience on this tricky little book that just kept wanting to be grow and be more! I think you'll all love the final product once it is at last in your hands! We are looking to get to print in a bout a week. then ship to you all roughly 3 weeks later. Our printer knows to expect the book and is ready to throw it on the press! Once the book is fully lettered, however, we will get the digital files out to you all ASAP so you can read the book and check out Ryan, Whitney, Gat and Nei's incredible work!

The team is incredibly grateful for your support and we all hope to get to meet you at some of the remaining shows the various members will be attending in the last half of the year which will lead BDI to its ten year anniversary in 2020!

Thanks again and watch for the nei update coming soon!

SOOOOO Close! AND and exciting addition!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Jun 19, 2019 at 03:01:19 AM

Thank you all for you patience with us as we added the extra 8 pages (no extra cost for you all) and dealt with some artist issues! So let's talk comics!

Whitney has gotten some assitance from colorist Gat Melvyn to help the book move towards the finish line as she also colors some overlapped projects that slowed both down. Pro Tip: Be sure to look over deadlines for creators on multiple books cause it can cause issues, and this one was my fault! But Gat is doing amazing work to help us get this book finished! Have a peek!

Next up we had an issue with the artist doing the stretch goal back up story. Artists flake...its a reality of comics, unfortunately. BUT after spending the last 3 weeks on the road, the solution has presented itelf in the form of the incredible artist Nei Ruffino! She has agreed to do our stretch goal pages and knock them our asap so we can wrap this story up in the next few weeks and get to print in July!

once we have a little more specific idea of the timeline ill be back to lay it all out, but early July is the team's goal to finish up and send it all to the printer! Pins, stickers, metal cards and other stretch goal items are all here and ready to be packed up as soon as the books are in our hands! even our foil cover printer is ready to go as soon as the interiors are complete!

Thanks again for your patience! I really am proud of this book and much happier with the larger story rather than cutting  you all off half way and turning it into two issues! I think you'll appreciate it that way too!

Talk again soon as Nei starts her pages! She's crazy creative and they will look amazing!
